They hear it through "The Grapevine"

I write about places I visit in the Grove, and most times I don't tell people I am writing about them. I just eat at a restaurant and take photos or I go to a gallery or some new business that opened and most times, I just do my thing and leave. Many times I do get names and photos of the owners, but most times not.

So today, for the third time, I thought it was so funny that I went back to a place I wrote about recently and I mentioned to them I had written about them and I gave them my Grapevine card so they could look it up on line, and today, I heard from a guy for the third time: "People kept coming in saying they heard about us through the 'Grapevine,' but I didn't know what they meant."

Every time this happens it makes me smile to know that I am helping people find places they didn't know about in the Grove and that people are actually reading this and taking action by physically going and spending money at the places I write about. So please feel free to email me any time with any interesting news or openings or things that you may think the Grapevine readers might be interested in.

Also, while thousands of you read the Grapevine each month, many still don't know about us, so how about mentioning us to a friend or two today? Or just email them a link to us?

You do a great job, Tom. it's one of my home pages everyday. If you live in here in the Grove or visit often, thanks to you, we get the news. I tell lots of friends about your blog. You also keep people informed about our mission to revitalize and incorporate the Grove, so thanks for everything.

Grape,
Here's another pat on the back and thanks for a job well done.
A suggestion...now might be a good time to go back to CocoWalk and do an update on those bike racks they promised to put in last month. At the time, the management was quite emphatic that everything was on track for an August installation so it would be good to see that they have followed through.

Dear Tom
How can we thank you?
We who are away, wondering if we have a home to return to after the hurricanes, or what what battles our neighbor are taking on with out our voice. Your the Town Crier
