Good news, bad news

gas
Well right on cue, the BP gas station on Bird and 27th has raised their prices. Guess they are going to claim shortages due to Hurricane Ike, like all the rest of the gas stations who want to take advantage. That's the bad news. The good news is that the BP station is always out of gas, the pumps are always covered up, so they can charge anything they want, they have nothing to sell anyway. They never do. This is one of the worst managed gas stations around.

Those prices are ridiculous. I've heard about all the gas prices going up b/c of Ike but I went to the Mobile at US 1 and Bird yesterday and for premium is was only around $4.10. Regular and Plus were both under $4.00. I couldn't believe it. Between the Mobile and the Shell on 27th I think they have the best gas prices in the area. (considering what it cost these days)

I just moved to the Grove, and everytime I've been to the BP, they've been out of gas! I thought it was just me..

Well, their location for some reason attracts those who are meeting up before/after clubbing, not to mention the endless stream of panhandlers that appear there. I can't say that the gas stations bordering U.S. 1 that are right at the entrances to the grove can 'manage' or deal with the gas prices or those who cause troubles for them...I used to be stopped at the light between the old oil change building and the Mobil all the time and get VERY nervous about the things I saw going on at various times, night or day. I lived and worked in the grove for many years & still loved it, despite all the seedy and frustrating parts. Patience and bravery are important to always keep in mind in this life!!!

They're always out of gas!!! It's happened to me twice in the past 2 weeks. No real reason to keep complaining about it. Just stop going there and they'll go out of business. Give your business to those who deserve it and who care about you.
