Energy drinks and chicken soup

I've had a bad cold, so I went to Smooth King to get an energy drink.

I was surprised to see that they get quite a breakfast crowd. A long steady flow of people were in and out getting smoothies and healthy munchies instead of the usual breakfast fare.

Speaking of my cold, I was trying to find a place to get old fashioned chicken soup in the Grove. I don't think it can be had. I ended up at the usual spot, Sergio's on Coral Way and I even like Pollo Tropical's chicken soup. But I don't think we have a place to sit down and enjoy real old-fashioned chicken soup, the kind your mama used to make.

Daniel at Focaccia offered to make me his chicken soup, even though it wasn't on the menu today (he's really great that way), but even his soup is a gourmet-style, it isn't the old-fashioned type you would have to get rid of a cold.

Personally, when I'm sick I like copious amounts of Wonton soup. Sadly, after much searching, the closest place with good Wonton Soup is New Chinatown in South Miami.

We need a real kosher deli. The real deal like back in Brooklyn. Not a Jerrys but more like a Rascal House that had to close due to losing their lease. Now that is the cure all chicken soup!

My sister just got me hooked on This Matzoh-ball soup from Manishevitz(i think thats how its spelled)So easy to make and cheap too. I make pretty good home made soup but who wants to heat up the kitchen like that in the Summer time. This stuff is a great substitute.
