Annual barbecue held by Abaco Avenue neighbors
Yesterday afternoon and until sundown Coconut Grove Park Homeowners (CGPHA) celebrated with a family barbecue on Abaco Avenue. The annual event, usually held a little earlier in the summer had been postponed due to the impending storms and hurricanes. Neighborhood children had an opportunity to try out the new trampoline and get their faces painted with Tot the Clown.
The next CGPHA event is "Freaky Friday" on October 31st to be held somewhere in the middle of the neighborhood. The 15 year old Halloween tradition involves taking over some streets, converting someone's beautiful home into a haunted disaster, & playing loud rock n roll music. This year some very special treats are planned for the children.
