The sign needs to be adopted

I estimate that the sign won't be fixed until maybe October or November.
I dunno Tony, you might be too optimistic. There is a sign outside of Coral Bagels that is bent all the way to the ground and has been that way since they redid the street there which was anywhere between 6-8 months ago. Cops eat at Coral Bagels everyday and just drive by this battered sign without a care.

What is the point of an adopt-a-sign anyway? Once I adopt it can I write whatever I want on it?
