Good vibrations
There are so many great coffee places in the Grove, but the most liveliest is the new Starbucks. It really always has something going on and the staff there is really always happy and seem joyful to see you. Here's Lino playing the guitar with his friend Max. Remember Lino and the banana hat? Well that hat is always on someone else's head every time you enter the place. They tell me they only have the one banana hat and they share it.
The place is always bustling, night and day, but on weekend nights it really tends to be a fun hangout for lots of different people, old and young. There's a real good vibe and energy there. It has a New York feel to it. When Lino left, with his guitar on his back, walking into the street among the yellow cabs and crowds, it really felt very cosmopolitan. The Grove is growing up.

What happened to that cute girl with the glasses and curly hair? She was the friendliest of all and always made customers feel like they were coming into her house to visit. She didn't get fired did she? She was super smart too. I think she was an artist. She did something in the arts or the media. She made the best lattes and had the greatest smile. She left sometime in August.
