Coconut Grove Arts Festival is number one again

Elena Carpenter from Miami Monthly sent me this page from Sunshine Artist magazine.

The Grove should be proud to know that the Coconut Grove Arts Festival is number one again. According to the article, the Grove festival is not just the top-rated fine art show, it is the top fine art event in the history of the 200 Best!

Nice going! Monty just got back in town for the season, nice news to come home to.

Rumor has it that the Arts Festival office may be moving into the old Borders Books location and their art gallery will be expanded. More good news!

Anonymous said...: Yes, it is hot in August... However, the Coconut Grove Arts Festival is on February, and I must say that the weather is rather nice, not to mention that it falls on a long weekend. SteveBM said...: Yes, I think December 15 thru March 15 is the best time to be in Miami, weather wise. The Art Festival is the headliner event going on at that time and there are many others, like the South Beach Food & Wine, Taste of the Grove, etc. This past year the Art Fest got nailed with some rain on Sunday but that didnt stop the crowds too badly.

Im glad you posted this Grape. Ive mentioned that the Grove Art Festival had been the #1 in the country to friends before and they never believed me. Now I have proof!; August 26, 2008 9:24 AM
