Another good local restaurant review

Another nice write up for another Grove restaurant. In the Herald today, a review on George's in the Grove by Victoria Pesce Elliott. Her headline, "The Party's Always on at George's in the Grove" says it all.

She mentions George's famous Nutella Pizza, which is just as good as the Tequila Pizza.

The brand-new, hopping George's in The Grove has all the romance of a TGI Friday's.

Im guessing that was an attempt at a compliment? Weird review. At least she talked about how good the food is. Ive gotta get there for lunch someday, maybe this weekend.

Well, you've got to admit there is no way to have a romantic meal or conversation there. You have to scream to be heard, it's a madhouse, the food is excellent, but the atmosphere is that of a zoo. As she states in the article, it's best to visit when George isn't there because he does not know how to talk, he yells.

Sure, there's no quiet corner but does there have to be? The whistling, hollering, and tomfoolery are all part of the experience. It offers an escape from the norm and takes your mind out of Miami for a few.
