Taking care of the thirsty, and hungry masses

I went out to get pictures of the crew setting up for the Goombay Festival, but it must be too early, not a soul is stirring.

But you'll be happy to know that the rest of the Grove won't go hungry or thirsty this weekend. It looks like almost every lane of traffic is blocked today by beer and Sysco food trucks -- if you plan on driving up Grand Avenue, bring some patience. And Main Highway and Commodore Plaza are no better.

This is not only for Goombay. It is an endemic problem in the Grove, where big trucks are free to park blocking any street, interrupt traffic and create havoc even when cops are present.

If you haven't noticed, there aren't any other places for these trucks to park while making deliveries.

A huge mistake by the city planning board.
