I had miserable service there on Saturday. Danny was the only guy at the counter and the line was out the door. Another supervisor-sort said they had two more people to staff up front and they were coming but it must have been 15 minutes before they were at their positions.
It is so frustrating to go to the Grove PO. I swear every time that I am just going to go straight to the Gables one over off of Valencia. They have a self service drop box where you can weigh your packages and buy postage and drop them without ever having to go to the window and it is available after hours.
The manager of the Grove PO is never anywhere to be seen. At my old PO in Maryland, the manager used to work the line to expedite certain types of service.
Sorry to vent. There's just no way it seems to give these guys feedback. There's no consequence to them for poor service and if I go to the Gables it doesn't adversely affect the Grove PO manager. I don't fault the counter people, most of them are first rate, but management is either inept at scheduling staff or indifferent to its customers.
They would probably want you to go somehwere else - makes their job easier. I get so annoyed with the delivery people who leave the lid up on mailboxes so the mail gets wet or shows people passing that you have mail. Two guys were caught on our street several months ago on a Sunday going thru the mailboxes at our comolex. A vigilant resident saw this and called police they were arrested -both had a record.
