Tina lives around the corner from us. Was she badly hurt?
Hi Everyone,
I'm happy to say that although I did sustain some injuries, I was able to pick myself up and sort things out. It was a tragic experience on what was a very serene ride back country in Big Cypress. The deer who had crossed the gravel road to drink from the river died instantly, but I was able to lay the bike down and roll off of it when it came to a stop. I cracked a rib or two which is really the worst of it. Insha'allah – my bike and I will be back on the road in a few weeks...
It's dangerous out there on our city streets for sure, but who would've thought it would be a deer I'd crash into! Very surreal.
Please watch out for us moto-riders out there - we're quite vulnerable.
Heartfelt prayers for Judy.
