Anon I agree. I support traffic circles but 150 K is freaking highway robbery. You could build a house for that price.

The comments in the Herald ring true. Sarnoff is an "I, Me" m'er f'er. He doesnt give a crap about anything but his own agenda and pet projects. Then he gets all huffy when his blatantly obvious self-interest projects cause ire in the public.

One of these days someone is going to clean up this city government and I hope that day is soon.

Oh, how quickly the food spoils. Sarnoff ran his soapbox campaign and then got elected and forgot about "the people". HD is here, the Mercy project is eminent, and $140K was wasted on a pet project that mysteriously was pushed thru when he came into office. Why am I not surprised?

This goes back before he moved in.
His McMansion replaced 4 small cottages
why not start there.
Lets see it was residential, the deliver
trucks from office depot, office max, did we
miss home depot deliveries?

heres an example of public corruption that at least benefits the public for a change.

Considering a "safety-booth" goes for about $70k this traffic circle is the deal of the century!

It would have been nice to just spend the extra $25k and get the sidewalks on Virginia and Shipping completed so pedestrians arnt forced to merge into the circle themselves.

What a joke.

Anonymous you want sidewalks? Then sidewalks it will be. Just give Commissioner Sarnoff's office a call and consider it done! Especially if it adds value to his property. This man has more contacts in the City of Miami than there are kernals in an ear of Jersey Corn. Isn't this the man who ran for the seat as an outsider? Darn, he has more inside contacts that either Haskins or Rollason had combined, times two! Even though Arriola is in Spain, the Commissioner can still get things done. Seriously though give Marc's office a call and talk to Ron Nelson about your sidewalks. You will be carving 'I Heart Marc' in just a matter of weeks. If anyone can cut through the bullshit red tape, it is this man!

Sarnoff has got to be the biggest disappointment ever! He is more corrupt than any of the other commissioners and, what's worst, comes across and bumblingly corrupt.

I have lived in the Grove for the past 5 years. I love the Grove and the community involvement. However, it has really bugged me for the longest time that there are no sidewalks in an area that has a lot of pedestrian traffic. I have to push my stroller in the street in order to walk from my house to Coco Walk.

I just don't understand why this traffic circle is supposed to improve the area? Now, no one has to stop. It is impossible for large trucks and busses to get through the intersection. It doesn't slow down the drunks... it speeds them up. And there is no sidewalk in order to cross the street properly. So, pedestrians have to walk in the middle of the road.

I'm all for commisioners getting public works projects pushed through red tape. But, lets start with something that actually helps the community and not just their own property values...

Wow! What an interesting version of events. As usual Sarnoff twist the truth, ignores the facts, and invents his own version of history. I'm so glad that people are smart enough to see through this joker.

Please! the mere fact that you feel the need to explain says it all.

What's amazing is how obtuse Sarnoff is about the fact that public officials MUST STAY AWAY from matters that benefit them personally! No matter what! None of what he describes matters because he - of his own admission - used his official public position to influence the process. End of story. End of alibis. And hopefully soon: the end of his squalid career as Miami's WORST public official EVER!
