Local author is signing books this Friday
Local author, Doug Hanks (who writes for the Miami Herald), will be signing his new book, "Barguments" at The Bookstore in the Grove (3399 Virginia Street), on Friday, March 7 from 4 to 7 pm.The Simon and Schuster book consists of a series of silly questions designed to prompt barroom arguments (we need more of those in the Grove) like: Would you rather give up salt or e-mail? Name the best TV theme song of all time. If you had to move to another country and never leave, where would you go? Would you rather give up wine or chocolate?
Free fancy coffees available and receive special Coconut Grove Sailing Club discounts during the signing -- l0% off all books plus an extra 5% off for "Barguments."
The party then moves to the Sailing Club (2990 S. Bayshore Drive) for drink specials, free bar food and customized Sailing Club barguments.
