Major accident on US 1
There was a major pile up on US1 and 27th Ave., in front of the Shell gas station, a short while ago. It's a mess out there. US1 and 27th Ave. are back up for miles. Some of the side streets are affected like 22nd Ave. and 17th Ave. into and out of the Grove.
Avoid these streets if possible for the next few hours, which may be hard.
I witnessed the pile up and it isn't pretty. I had my camera, but decided against taking pictures of others' misfortunes.

Thanks Grapevine for advising. I checked the 511 Traffic Website and looked at the incidents and Traffic Cameras. The one at US1 & 17th is pointing West and shows the backup.
Seems there's also an accident on US1 North of 37th near Virginia (according to the incidents tab).

Correction: According to 511, there are two accidents.
1) SW 27th Avenue & US1
2) US1 NB near Virginia.

NOw wait a minute... These pics mightve been useful for us commuters that will be traveling that way this afternoon. A lot more useful than the pic of the guy that got ran over in the parking lot that time anyways!
The guy in the white stratus was not wearing his seat belt. When I approached the car to see if he needed assistance (Fire rescue had not yet arrived)another guy was holding his head trying to feel a pulse and sadly enough, the guy was not breathing and did not have a pulse. I hope he survived despite the odds.
PLEASE WEAR YOUR SEAT BELT!!!
