Early voting started today

Early voting began today for the January 29 Florida primary and property tax referendum.

By law, early voting is designated to begin 15 days before an election.

Early voting in the Grove takes place from 7 am to 3 pm at Miami City Hall (3500 Pan American Drive).

Another reason why I like City Hall's presence in the Grove -- it brings people into the area to vote, and hopefully stick around to eat and shop and also, it's very convenient for Grovites.

Having City Hall in the Grove does not mean they have to use prime real-estate. They are not royalty that needs waterfront (even though they think so). They can move closer into the business sector and allow residents to enjoy history and the bay. Plus it will bring in visitors as well. Can we gather signatures on this??

By the way any news on the WaterFront Plan?? Have not heard anything in some time.

This is a side subject from the original post, but I think if the playhouse fails again. The City of Miami should consider moving City Hall to the Playhouse. It’s a win-win, it would allow the building to be preserved and useful to the community and allow the Pam Am building to be renovated as a museum, café or other attractive location.
