Clueless cop
As I watched the marathon Sunday, I saw something very disturbing -- a City of Miami cop who had no clue where he was.
We were standing near 17th Avenue and South Bayshore Drive.
A lost tourist asked him where Downtown Miami was and he pointed south and told him to go past Coconut Grove and he'll find it. The tourist asked him, "Aren't we in Coconut Grove? I see signs all over that say Coconut Grove." The copy told him no, to keep going south and he'll find the Grove. Maybe he meant the Center Grove. Who knows.
But I found it to be a sad thing when a City cop can't even give you directions and has no clue where he is himself.

The officer probably thought the person was looking for downtown Coconut Grove -- meaning, where can I grab a bite to eat, etc?
He might not have been listening well, but that seems the more likely scenario.
