Was Michelle Spence-Jones paid for her vote?
According to The New Times, the state is studying whether City Commissioner Michelle Spence-Jones was paid to vote in favor of the Mercy condo project sponsored by the Related Group, among other infractions. I honestly don't think she has ever stepped foot on the property and had no business voting on the project.She didn't seem to have a clue what she was doing on the dais the day of the vote and she stumbled over her words and made no sense at all. Let's see how this ends up. I was surprised she wasn't wearing one of the yellow shirts that day.

Lay-off Spence Jones. She is not a bad person.
what about Commissioner Sarnoff voting for every item he campaigned against: Streetcar, baseball stadium, museum park...Seems Mayor Diaz has bought off Mr. Sarnoff in record time.
Spence-Jones gave a rambling speech saying nothing as she voted to allow three massive highrises in residential Coconut Grove. It sure looked like the fix was in. And when days later she was seen driving a new Range Rover...well...
Oh, a black person driving a nice car...there's definitely something fishy about that...
Spence-Jones is also accused of shaking down a Dist 5 economic development group for $18,000. During her election campaign in 2005.
And Spence-Jones was accused of 10 Election Law violations. Paying cash for votes...etc. Still not resolved. Contact Florida Election Commission.
And who is paying Spence-Jones's legal fees? Who is collecting money for her? And what do they want in return?
She should be taking care of her own district and not screwing up the Grove.
Spence-Jones has spent 2 years screwing up her district too.
Ms. Jones is following in the footsteps of Art Teele, both are/were pawns of Mayor Manny Diaz.

There is always going to be compliants in politics. It's politics. Everyone on the comnission gets a vote on almost every subject, District 5 or otherwise. Public figures a subject to scrutiny,(duh!) she is a big girl I'm sure she can take all that you can throw at her so keep it coming.
What are theses legal reasons?
Well, when anonymous people write about certain people and mention their names and state facts as if they are facts, the lawyers descend on me and take me to court trying to get me to give up the ISP's of the offending commenters. Of course I don't want to because of first amendment rights. But it is a hassle and I really don't feel I have to spend the day in court because people want to accuse others of things here and not reveal their identities. Simple as that.
why does ANY "commission"-er spend hundreds of thousands to be elected to something making MUCH Less?? or a mayor spending millions for a job making HOW MUCH??? or a president spending HUNDREDS of millions for a job paying what??? what an amazing country! the bigggest clue in this case - see who put her there, to help himself and his factions out.... follow the story backwards and be amazed......
I WONDER IF SPENCE-JONES IS IN THE POCKET OF THE FLA. MARLINS,HER PAST HISTRY IS UNDER A CLOUD OF PAY OFFS.
