Car wash blamed for credit card/identity thefts

U.S. 1's Finest Car Wash at Bird Road and US 1, right across from the entrance to the Grove, is also a great credit card fraud and identity theft operation.

Cory Mason, who helped operate the car wash after Tim Hardaway stepped out of the picture because of his anti-gay remarks, is now in a Broward County jail under fraud charges.

I use the car wash across the street on Bird and US 1 and the one across from CVS on Grand Avenue. They both do excellent jobs and are honest and reliable.

Actually, Mason was Hardaway's business partner and ran the business while Hardaway was in the picture. After the anti-gay comments they were evicted and new owners took over.

Wow, I think Hardaway's comments about gays were absolutely wrong, but it is scary if in America today you can lose your business for expressing crazy thoughts.

Should Michael Moore lose his film company because he believes 911 was cooked up by President Bush & the Jews????

Certainly not, not least because there's no evidence that's what he believes.

Scary? What do you mean? This was a case of the power of the consumer leading to a business decision. It's not like the government swooped in and forced Hardaway out. He exited the business because it was obvious that consumers would CHOOSE not to patronize a business run by a person who made those type of comments.

Consumer choice scares you?

Justice...Finally!

These creeps scammed me and a colleague.

Interestingly enough, both of us used the car wash months apart.

Glad to see someone's been busted.

If you want a good car wash go to Las Brisas on the corner of 27th Ave and sw 16th street. $10 for a thorough wash inside and out. Same thing costs you $20 at "the Car Wash" on Bird and US-1
