I had a green dream . . .

If Jorge Perez's ego is so big why doesn't he just donate the $96 million to Mercy Hosptial so the Catholic Church can pay off all those lawsuits and just turn the whole area in question into a park called Jorge Perez park? He will get a huge tax write-off, be in the league of the Mathesons and others who have donated land to the county and will come out looking like the hero and big shot that he thinks he is.

Honestly, do you think he cares about giving more luxury condos to the rich or lining his greedy pockets? How about turning Greed into Green?

Remember when Related took $4.5 Mil from the City to help reduce its expenses building its market rate waterfront condo One Miami? Winton and Diaz were desperate to give Related the taxpayers $4.5 Mil. Isn't it ironic Related is now complaining that several taxpayers want to donate money to litigate against Related? Now we hear Related whinning like a baby.

I suspect that given the outrageous property tax rates, the city's $4.5 million investment in One Miami will prove to be one of those rare occassions where the city gets a fair return on their investment.

An investment? Not really. One Miami was getting built without the $4.5 Mil gift to Related. The City would have gotten a far higher return NOT giving Related the gift. City would have gotten the tax revenues and City could have kept its $4.5 Mil.
