Akashi

Looks like Akashi, the Japanese restaurant, is opening in the old Tasti D-Lite location. If it is the same as the one in South Miami, that would be an excellent addition to the Grove.

Yup, real fired up about Akashi in the Grove. They tend to be a tad more pricey than other sushi joints, but the food is worth every penny!

Tasti D-Lite closed? I hadn't realized.

Then again, it's a realy big surprise... the service there was just so... awesome! (sarcasm).

Really, it was always a bunch of idiots working there that didn't even know what flavors they had (seriously).

It should have been called Taste-less.

Yay, good sushi in the grove, it's about time! Now at least we'll have a choice. That divey place at the end of commodore plaza was always questionable: Somoto.

It is the same akashi as south miami. They plan to occupy the entire courtyard between their location and the clothing store to the left (if you are facing akashi) and put up large umbrellas to shield from the sun and rain. the menu will be a little different from the s. miami location due to the small size of their grove kitchen, but they say they will still offer all of their sushi bar items and are in talks about having delivery to locals in the grove.
