I just voted

I just voted for Sarnoff. And the lady who signed me in said that her grandson has the same first and middle name as mine. So I found that to be a good omen. :)

Regardless of who we want to vote for the two of us were not allowed to vote because:

Royal Brent Cutler and Leonard C. Miraglilo:

Thank you for your inquiry. Your Absentee Ballots, for the City of Miami Run-Off Election, were mailed on November 16, 2006 to your New Jersey addresses. We have worked with the USPS to ensure expedited delivery of election related material.

Additionally, please note that we have worked with municipalities to increase the number of dates between the initial election and the runoff election in order to provide additional time for Absentee Ballot delivery. In the past, the runoff elections occurred one week after the election. We are now working with municipalities to increase the number of days to 21 days.

If you received the ballot today, you can deliver to our physical address by courier.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you need further assistance

I voted for Marc.

Many voters said they found Linda Haskins negative campaign offensive. Some people voted against her just because they disliked her distortions.

Amazing she raised something like $750,000. And she had city workers working polls for her.

65% to 35%. Pretty impressive drubbing. Congrats to Marc.

Funny how the Dems suddenly jumped on the Sarnoff bandwagon at the last minute. What the heck was that about?

Marc won 2 to 1. He won by almost 1,600 votes. Every group voted for Marc.

Democrats and Republicans are always looking for talent.

And remember the Democats decided to spend effort and money on Marc's campaign as he was being outspent and out advertised almost 5 to 1. Many City Hall lobbyists and insiders did not expect Marc to win. (Why else did they raise $729,000 for his opponent?)Apparently, the Democrats had a better feel for public opinion.

Yeah. THAT'S the ticket. The Democrats, who have not participated in a City of Miami election EVER just happens to see potential in Sarnoff -- who has long touted his strong Republican Party credentials -- so they reached out to him and convince him to switch parties just one week before the election!
Coincidently, the local Democratic Party is 5 months late in reporting their contributions.
Anyone want to bet that when the report is finally available it will show skads of cash from Joe Arriola and other developers who chose to tickle Sarnoff under the chin with their "evil developer money"?

and were those city workers working the polls for Haskins being paid by city money or did they take sick days? If not, our tax money paid for Haskin's poll workers.
