Home Depot spitefullness goes on
Many Grove residents are still upset, but I say let them go on. If they can't change doors or windows and can't really use the smaller store for their needs, all they are doing is trying to cause trouble. Do you really think they are building a store inside? And if they do, do you think they will use the one small entrance that is there -- and not have a garden center, etc?
They are spiteful bastards. I hate Home Depot more and more because of their obnoxious bullying tactics. Whomever runs their PR really has no clue how badly the whole corporation is coming across. Every day it just makes them look worse and worse.
Give them enough rope people.

Home Depot may be blundering and greedy, but I doubt they are going through all this trouble just to make you feel bad. In fact, if anyone is being spiteful it is you.
Are you going to be surprised when a new door gets punched out and they just pay the fine?
I agree that Home Depot is nothing but a big bully. If not anything else the way they have gone about the business of opening their store and coming somewhere they are clearly not wanted is enough for me not to spend another dime in their stores. I'd go out of my way to shop elsewhere.
Home Depot certainly looked transparent when the two Home Depot attorneys and the two Home Depot lobbyist/promotors were asking to join Linda Haskins fundraising committee. I wonder how much she took from them? Will the money influence her vote? Is Haskins aware 13,000 Grove residents signed a petition against HD for that site?
Every hurricane and during most major storms we lose some of our valuable tree canopy. Home Depot actually wants to cut down 110 trees from the Milans/K-Mart site. Obviously, Home Depot and its lobbyists are only after money.
I agree with tree hugger above. It is not very neighborly to demand to cut down 110 trees, many of which are 40-50 years old. We need our old trees. Home Depot wants to plant some small trees. But they are terrible neighbors and its stores belong west in Industrial areas.
