Grove Farmer's Market and yuppie gossip
I love the Deep Well Water, it is so cold and fresh tasting and the Coconut Water is delicious, too. All the fruits and vegetables are nice and fresh and there are lots of items that you wont' find in the supermarket. There is prepared food and home made canned (actually jarred) items, as well.
There is a new Farmer's Market opening at Mayfair on Nov. 4th -- it will be every Saturday. Not sure why we need two, but I'll report on the new market when it opens. If it is more spread out and less claustrophobic, I'll love it.

i went to the mkt for the first time a few weeks ago: at first, i was excited to find fresh veggies and fruit. then i checked out the prices. whoa. might as well shop at whole foods. what a rip. i hope the new mkt at mayfair is a real farmers mkt, not an 'organic' rip. btw, the people buying 'organic' didnt look especially healthy to me either....
I would like to correct the inaccurate statement regarding Marc Sarnoff. Mr. Sarnoff and the Grove First attorney, Tucker Gibbs, have done an excellent job facing Home Depot, and its army of lobbyists, with its almost unlimited budget. There has not yet been an opportunity to file an appeal. Stay tuned.
If you go later in the day, you wont have to wait as long in line. The various premade items are really good and the wide variety of drinks are all tasty. I agree with the post about this farmer's mkt being really pricey though. I understand that farmers should be allowed to make a buck just like the rest of us, but we shouldnt be raked over the coals for a tasty bit of nourishment...
I don't think this is really a "farmer's market." It's one owner of an organic farm who sets up his own stuff, isn't it? A true "farmer's market" will have lots of different area growers.
"Over-aged yuppies?" Do you even know what yuppy stands for? Wow.
