You're right about the desirable setting, although I never noticed. Busy busy busy, always too busy.

Needs some pedestrians...
I am the one who dug out the cemented-over planters and planted these three palms about 1990. I also planted palms down the 27th Avenue side of this property, but it was too green and beautiful for the concrete jungle Miami has become, and the city cut most of the trees on the 27th Avenue side down. I remember planting $300 worth of Mondo or "Monkey" grass under these three palms, only to have the grass stolen about 3 nights later. I finally gave up & moved away. These 3 palms and the grass below are all that remain... but I am sure... that the city will eventually remove these palms as well. The only thing that prospers in Miami is ugliness, concrete, and bad taste. It is sad.
