Mama Mia Italian ices
One of my favorite things at the Grove/St. Stephens festivals is the Italian ice guy. I am embarrassed to say I see him at every festival in Dade and Broward and he always remembers me, but we have never traded names, so I don't know his name.
But his ices are incredible and I seek him out. He is always in the same spot, right at the entrance to the St. Stephens festival. You can't miss him.

Ohhhhh, how I love those Italian ices. I recall summers in New york as a kid- an Italian "icey" and zepollis... Always wanted the extra one in the bag to stay there until I got to where I was going but it never happened.
Italian ices are a favorite of mine, I have memories from NY as a little girl getting the ices in the little paper cups at every pizza shop and I couldn't believe that so many Floridians never heard of the refreshing treat! Ices are so much better then ice cream and it is so hot here! NO, IT IS NOT GELATO!! But the point is I finally found a great place in Delray Beach called Paradices. Try this place out! I would love to try the mama mia's, but paradices has got me hooked and it is so close to my house. Very excited about the find...
