Operation Shield
Cocowalk was the place to be today for the Miami Police Dept. They were out on a "terrorist search" during an "Operation Shield" sweep. These are random searches on soft targets, like the Grove's shopping area.
The police actually go into the stores and question people who may seem suspicious. They want the terrorists to know that the Grove is not the place to be. I wonder if anyone is watching Turkey Point or the Port of Miami, I really don't think the Grove is where terrorists have their eyes set.
But at least I feel safe. Thanks MPD.

One must wonder with a crime ridden, drug filled neighborhood just blocks away, why the MPD chooses to harass those of us who are trying to operating legitimate businesses...Any other thoughts out there?
Well, if the object is to prevent acts of terrorism, then it would make sense to target commercial hubs or popular gathering spots, public transit, etc. Terrorists don't care what happens to anybody at Grand and Douglas, but they would enjoy seeing a popular nightspot go "boom."
Most of Miami's finest would have better luck picking out a fresh jelly donut than a terrorist.

THANK YOU for having sense. It's a waste and we can imagine what "suspicious" means.
Will someone get rid of that loser Timoney and his boss! I'd feel a lot safer then.
