Woman's Club hosting Young Artists' Gallery

The Woman's Club of Coconut Grove will be hosting their annual Young Artists' Gallery (YAG) reception on Saturday, March 9 from 2 to 4 pm. Hors d'oeuvres and refreshments will be enjoyed during the reception and all art lovers are invited. 

More than $10,000 in scholarships will be given out to deserving high school art students of Miami-Dade County public schools. This year’s event is made possible with funding provided by the Korth Family Foundation, Judy Orr, Grove Bank & Trust, The Coconut Grove Arts Festival, The Pippo Family, Mokher Plumbing, Patricia Vegnani, Dolly McIntyre and members and friends of the Woman’s Club of Coconut Grove. 

This juried art show has given close to $100,000 in scholarships monies since 2001. The scholarship program was founded with the intent to provide opportunities for high-school students to:
• Earn college tuition money 
• Gain experience by exhibiting their work in a public show
• Sell their work to art patrons
• Meet and receive critique from the artists’ judging panel and 
• Win accolades that will support their portfolio when building their career

The exhibit is free and open to the public, March 9 from 1 to 5 pm and March 10 from noon to 2pm.
