Goodbye Christmas tree, until next year . . .

There goes the tree. End of another holiday season. This was the scene early today.

There is talk that the tree will not be in front of CocoWalk next year, mostly because it will be under massive renovations. So will we have a tree? If so, where would be a good place for it?

When I first moved here in 2012 there was a tree lighting at City Hall. There was a little parade around the circle with Santa coming in by fire truck. There were vendors selling food and a chance for everyone to mingle. I believe a local kids dance group did a performance if I'm not mistaken. It was a really nice evening with quite a crowd. To my disappointment it was never done again and the lighting at Coco Walk didn't compare. Perhaps this is a chance to bring it back?
