Time is now to file appeals on planned tree removal

An Intended Decision has been filed for private property at 4055 SW 37 Avenue - near The Kampong.

They would like to remove trees in order to accommodate the new Grove Estates Roadway. 

Proposed:
54 trees to be removed 
9 prohibited species
2 palms
43 hardwoods in various locations

36 trees to be relocated
19 palms
19 hardwoods in various locations

182 large hardwoods will be replaced on site.

The Department of Planning & Zoning/Environmental Resources Division has all supporting documentation and plans. Availble by calling 305-416-1551.

To appeal, a written notice of appeal must arrive at the preservation officer by July 31, 2017. If appealing, please state your grounds for appeal. There is a payment involved, please call 305-416-1551 for info on that.

Mail or bring appeal to Department of Planning & Zoning / Environmental Resources, 444 SW 2nd Avenue, 3rd floor, Miami, FL 33130. This is in accordance with Article 17.8 of the Tree Protection Ordinance.
