Angklung Music Festival at The Kampong
There will be performances of the following dances: Payak, Yapong and Balinese, and then a demonstration of the traditional Angklung, an Indonesian musical instrument consisting of two to four bamboo tubes suspended in a bamboo frame, bound with rattan cords. The tubes are carefully whittled and cut by a master craftsperson to produce certain notes when the bamboo frame is shaken or tapped. There will be audience participation included in this performance, so if you are interested in bamboo instruments, this is the place to be!
The festival is at 6 pm. Tickets are $10 for Kampong members, $15 for the General Public, $10 for students and children under 5 free.
Seating is limited, so get your tickets early.
