Welcome Boho to the neighborhood

I stopped by the new Boho restaurant at 3433 Main Highway today, the former Menchie's yogurt shop. People have been calling Boho a Greek or Mediterranean restaurant, but I don't think the menu reflects that. But they say they are bringing unconventional to Miami and their classical flavors from the Mediterranean have a modern twist. Boho stands for bohemian.

They have a lunch menu which seems to change daily, today they offered Lentil salad ($5.50), Crete Chicken Salad ($6.50), a Boho Burger ($13), a Pastrami sandwich ($9) and Portobello Panini ($8).

Dinner consists of salads and other things like quinoa, octopus, beef carpaccio and a few more things, starting at $11.

Entrees are the Boho Steak ($26), Rib Eye ($35), Chicken Roulade ($19) and Fish of the Day ($35) among other things. Pizza is served like Margarita, Rustica, Diavola, Tartufo Cotto and Bianca, starting at ($12)

And there are  a couple of desserts like Nutella Calzone ($15) and Yia's Orange Pie ($8).

I arrived too early for lunch so I didn't taste the food and there was no one eating there yet. But when I passed by later in the afternoon, there were people at tables inside and out, enjoying themselves.

The interior has been redone from top to bottom. It's beautiful. This space has always had a special place for me. In the 1980s. there was a shoe store in that location called Coconuts. I did the logo for them and every time I passed, I would point out my work painted on the window. 

There is dark, rich, Greek Coffee and Smoothies made with Kale and fresh juices and a variety of fresh fruit juices and lemonades. Lisa Ostrenga from the BID was kind enough to send me these two photos from her lunch today.
