We're 11-years-old today!

The Coconut Grove Grapevine is 11 years old today! I remember when it first started in 2005, I had a premonition or feeling that it would go 10 years and here it is, 11 years!

Check out all the stories - over 12,000 stories - in the archives in the drop down menu to the left. Just randomly choose a month and year and see what pops up, it's fun to see the Grove news over the past 11 years, all chronicled there.

The first ever post is here, posted at 1:50 pm on May 8, 2005. The second post is here, putting down Home Depot, calling them "smug bastards." And on May 10, 2005, here, I was bitching about over-development in the Grove. Some things never change.

Since it's our birthday and also Mother's Day, we're taking the day off. See you tomorrow.

hi Tom, congratulations to the 11 years of "freedom of opinions"; I read the grapevine daily early in morning -before reading the Miami Herald, since 2005, The Grapevine keeps me engaged with what's happening in the Grove; I truly wish you stick around for many more years!

What would we do without the Grapevine? Thanks for everything you do.

Thanks so much, Tom, for all you do for our community. I'm sure that sometimes you feel it is a thankless job, but, I hope you feel rewarded much more often. I, and many people I know, depend on the Grapevine to bring us the information we need and want, on a timely basis. Please keep doing what you're doing, for as long as you can do it and still feel satisfied. You're a very unique individual, and Coconut Grove is very lucky to have you amongst its citizenry.

Best of luck to you, and thank you.
