Park Ave house being considered for historic designation

The Park Avenue house has been notified. The City Planning & Zoning Department, who I don't trust as far as I can throw them, has notified the owners that the property is under consideration for historic designation. There is a community meeting on July 5 at 3 pm at City Hall, 3500 Pan American Drive.

July the 5th.... Really?
It’s not by accident. That’s why they are called the Planning Board.
Sort of like the Summer of 1925 when Miami voted to annex Coconut Grove while most everyone was out of town.

Browse the real estate section today and you will see a few of these descriptions; "Excellent opportunity in ideal South Coconut Grove location. 3 bd/2 ba, 1951 built home, on large 10,899 sq ft corner lot. Remodel, rebuild or move in...." So people are trying to get the most money for their property? How insane. They should only sell to someone who will refuse to rebuild. Everyone at this public meeting should agree to designate their house as historic, or at least make a provision that their house /lot can NEVER be divided or rebuilt upon.
