Eating clean; in a fast food sort of way

You know what would be cool? A fast food restaurant for healthy food, you know, for clean eating. There are none, are there?

Sometimes when I'm in a rush and I don't want to make a big thing of getting lunch, I go to a fast food place and I regret it later. A place that would sell wraps and smoothies and items like The Last Carrot or Choices, but only in a drive-thru, would be perfect.

Is there any? Am I missing something?

Tom, our summer issue of Edible South Florida focuses on healthy eating and includes some grab-and-go choices (but no drive-thrus). Look for it mid-July! We deliver to the Coconut Grove BID and Grove Bookstore.

It is funny how Green Street has bought advertising at entrance to Grand Ave. and US1 "Raw Bar" with ginormous oysters as soon as we hear a sea food restaurant is to open in Mayfair. The commissioner and his brave friends.

"Funny how Green Street has bought advertising at entrance to Grand Ave., and US1" then "as soon as we hear a sea food restaurant is to open in Mayfair" then "The commissioner and his brave friends". What an ignorant stupid connection of dots! This blog is titled "Eating clean; in a fast food sort of way". You'd better stop eating out of cans and drinking from plastic containers.
Healthy food, drive thru, HELLO! Get a CAT scan to see if your neurons are firing properly!

I would like to see and organic healthy fast food restaurant in the Grove as well as a reasonably priced American breakfast (Oh come back Tom Thumb and Bernice). I would also like a Chinese restaurant and a NY Deli and a real American soda fountain. Remember the pharmacy in the Engle Building?
No restaurant can afford the Johnny Rockets location at $15 Grand a month, and regular folks need a local place to eat. Also miss the Taurus, Pisces Pantry, and of course Roy's BBQ.
