All-Grove Crime Watch meets Wednesday

All-Grove Crime Watch will meet Wednesday, June 10 at 7:00 pm; the meeting adjourns on schedule at 8:30 pm. The location is St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, 2750 McFarlane Road. The meeting room is at the rear of the church property and signs will be posted. On-site parking is available in the church's lot and there is no charge for those attending the meeting.  Inform the parking attendant that you are going to the referenced meeting. 

The meeting is open to residents and is very informative regarding criminal activity and related issues affecting the Grove. Regular attendees include officers from the City of Miami Police Department, an Assistant State Attorney from the Miami-Dade Office of the State Attorney, and a representative from the Coconut Grove Business Improvement District, (BID). The meeting also features esteemed guest speakers including judges from the Eleventh Judicial Circuit of Florida.

I want to comment on a different item. This site is not new user friendly. Bird Road from 32 to 27 needs to SLOW IT DOWN. With all the new construction I see more and more people on foot along this path and I constantly see cars accelerating between this path. Both ways. Maybe CG police should speed trap this area and get some much needed revenues. Maybe speed bumps. Whatever. Just slow it down.
