Beer, Bourbon & Cigars at The Butcher Shop

For craft beer enthusiasts who want to drink their beer and smoke it too, The Butcher Shop in Wynwood has partnered with Alltech Lexington Brewing & Distilling Company, as well as Hotel Humidor and Oliva Cigars for a unique pairing event on Wednesday, April 15.

While cigars have long been associated with cognacs, ports and whiskeys, they’re just as well matched with craft beer. Craft beer is defined by a unique blend of malt, hops and yeast, whereas a cigar’s wrapper, binder and filler determines its flavor profile and aroma, making for rich and complex pairings. From 6 to 9 pm, guests will learn about both the beer and cigar making process from the experts themselves and experience the pairings in the restaurant’s outdoor beer garden.  Cigar aficionados can choose from a selection of Grade “A” cigars that have been making an impact in the industry such as Caldwell, Oliva and Camacho while sipping on Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale, which we will be on tap for the event, as well as Town Branch Bourbon.

Since its inception in the fall of 2013, The Butcher Shop has been bringing the lost art of buying from a traditional meat market to Miami. The full service butcher shop, eatery and German-style beer garden is an extension of father and son team Igor and Fred Niznik’s Palm Beach staple, Charlie’s Old Fashioned.

The Butcher Shop is located at 165 NW 23 Street. For info: 305-846-9120.
