Bali Ha'i party is back for 21st year at The Kampong

The 21st annual Bali Ha’i Party at The Kampong, will take place Sunday, April 12, from 5 to 8 pm. A rich tradition of South Florida’s culinary history, Bali Ha’i is an event that celebrates regional cuisine and the laid-back luxury lifestyle enjoyed in South Florida. The event raises funds to support The Kampong, located in Coconut Grove and part of the National Tropical Botanical Garden. James Beard Award Winner, Chef Michael Mina, will serve as this year’s VIP Chef.

This extra special garden party features an afternoon of great food and handcrafted cocktails. A silent and live auction will include a bunch of items that are hand-curated especially for this event, and Dale McClean, Miami HEATv host, will emcee the live auction.

Bali Ha’i is chaired by Cynthia Seaman and Jocelyn Tennille, and features Chef Norman Van Aken as the Culinary Event Chair. The event concept and production is by Lasso the Moon. This year the Michelin award-winning Chef Michael Mina will be in attendance and share his balanced and beautiful approach to cuisine. StripSteak, the Miami Beach outpost of Chef Mina’s restaurant at The Fountainbleu, as well his restaurants Michael Mina 74 and Bourbon Steak, will be one of many participants at the event.

This year’s restaurant and culinary participants include: 1826 Restaurant & Lounge, Brown Bag Popcorn Co., Bulla Gastrobar, Dolce Italian, The Dutch, Ian’s Tropical Grill, Lasso the Moon, Proper Sausages, The Local Craft Food & Drink, Strada in the Grove, Sushi Samba, Teena’s Pride, Titanic Brewing Company, The Typsy Mermaid and The Vagabond.
