Rosenstiel School having it's annual auction

The University of Miami's Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science (RSMAS) is having their annual auction on Friday, April 10. It begins at 5 pm at SALT waterfront restaurant/Wetlab Bar at RSMAS campus, which is off of the Rickenbacker Causeway on Virginia Key.

RSMAS is a world-renowned research institution focusing on all aspects of the marine environment – from the fish of the deep ocean to the clouds at the top of the atmosphere. It is home to about 250 graduate students in various disciplines. Every year, the RSMAS Marine Science Graduate Student Organization (MSGSO) hosts an auction to raise money for the RSMAS Graduate Student Travel Fund. This fund provides financial support for students to travel to conferences to present their work and meet prominent scientists in their fields, as well as to travel for data collection for their research. Such activities are essential in helping our students achieve their scientific research and career goals.

Tickets to this event are $15 at the door. Kids under 12 are $5 and kids under 5 are free. A ticket includes food provided by SALT Waterfront Restaurant and two beer/wine drinks. There will be a mix of live and silent auction sessions with great items for  guests to bid on. Some items to be auctioned off this year include restaurant gift certificates, yoga classes, cooking classes, diving gear, boat rides, helicopter tours, hotel stays, and much more.

Excellent! This is such a great event, lots of deals to be had and I love that the money goes directly to the students' conference fund - no annoying administrative BS.

Cannot wait for this year.
