The winner for best holiday decorations

Each year I think the prettiest decorated place in Coconut Grove for the holidays is H&H Jewels on Main Highway. The old building, which was the original Coconut Grove Bank from the late 1800s is always wrapped in red and always has the Christmas spirit.

Did you just write that the Coconut Grove Bank was present "from the late 1800s"? WOW, REALLY! I'm impressed, our Grove has more history that I ever imagined. I found in my back yard what was described as the Coconut Grove Rain Water Company [a somewhat concrete 3' x 3' like foundation'] which supplied sweet/fresh water - - - - from rain, to ships that couldn't obtain fresh water from Cuba, and had to enter the Gulf Stream, North to Europe with gold and silver. Plus, we had coconut groves, hence, Coconut Grove.

And later we had black Bahamians to supply most of the labor that created Miami proper. The Grove started it all from down here in the mango swamps ! ! ! !, The original Coconut Grove Bank! Jobie Steppe
