2014 National Night Out
The Miami Police Department is sponsoring the 31st Annual National Night Out, a crime/drug prevention event scheduled for Tuesday, August 5.
The event, which is one of many taking place across the nation will take place at Bayfront Park, Downtown Miami. Organizations and its members are cordially invited to be a part of the celebration.
The National Night Out is designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, generate support for local crime watch programs, strengthen neighborhood and police-community partnership.
In addition, to send a strong message to criminals letting them know that our city is united in the fight against crime.
The event will be from 5 to 9 pm.

Sorry but drug tests have shown that MPD has a higher rate of drug abuse than any other segment of the society it serves.
Right, sure, aha; some drunk or crack head is going to stop & contemplate some rhetoric before breaking into my vehicles, home or steal my bikes. The Police, already patrolling our streets here in the Grove, and doing a great job of lowering crime should be allotted the funds used for this useless [well intended] program. Jobie Steppe
