Gables Farmers Market open for the season

If you missed the Grove Green Market on Thursday, you can check out the Coral Gables Farmers Market  on Saturday. This is the first one for the season.

The Gables market is each week now through March 29 from 8 am to 2 pm, right in front of City Hall on LeJeune and at 405 Biltmore Way.

Enjoy fresh produce, baked goods, live music, kids’ activities, a free gardening workshop, cooking demonstrations, and more. This week’s cooking demo features the food of Seasons 52.

Also this week at the market:
At 8 am, a free Tai Chi class is offered in Merrick Park.

At 9 am, a free gardening workshop is conducted by local experts. In case of rain, the workshop is held inside City Hall.
At 10 am, a master chef creates a dish for shoppers to sample.
At 11 am, there are wonderful children activities for our younger Market shoppers.

Farmers markets are great, but the fact is our local food stores get most of their produce directly from the fields and culled daily by their employees to ensure freshness & if you get a bad apple [whatever] they'll take it back. And their prices are cheaper.
