And the winner is . . .
In November, I won the New Times Web Award for Best Neighborhood Blog in South Florida (Dade, Broward and Palm Beach). I was at two events in the Grove that night and could not attend the ceremony in Wynwood, so the award was waiting for me at the New Times office. I finally got around to picking it up this week. I love it.
Thank you Jose Duran at The New Times and those who voted for the Grapevine.
I'm sorry it took so long to retrieve the award, but as Jose joked, Grove people never leave the Grove, which sort of isn't a joke. We do need to get out of town more often.

Congratulations and thank you for maintaining a place where we can read about, comment on and bring up issues dealing with our village. I wish we would have had an open forum like this 20 years ago.
