As usual, the unveiling was broadcast live on NBC6, reporter Roxanne Vargas, did the honors, so you probably saw the beautiful work of art already. The moment of the actual unveiling was aired on live tv.

The event was catered with an open bar and lots of food. The ocean breezes swept through the ballroom, from the pool and cabanas. It was an amazing evening.

The Coconut Grove Arts Festival is February 16 through 18 this year in the Center of Coconut Grove. Britto had done one of the previous posters which was one of the best sellers.
This one in 2007. So he was chosen to do the poster to celebrate 50 years of the festival this year.

I'm I the only one that thinks the poster looks horrendous?

Miami is on serious Britto overload!

Interesting that the CGAF doesn't allow reproductions by the artists that pay $800/booth but Britto will probably be selling his luggage, banks etc that he had manufactured for him. (and he probably did not pay for his booth). Britto has done a lot for Miami but the CGAF is not the place for him.

Overkill Britto. I so agree with the other comment, why didn't Miami allow one of its paying artists to create our annual art display. Britto it is about time you move on to another state or country. The poster is hideous and an embarrassment to all Miami. Who chose this piece anyway? Was it Trainer? Geez if it was... Trainer you really failed us big time buddy.
